Who we are

immetrics is an independent project run in Belgium. For anything about this policy or your data, write to matthieu@brouillard.dev.

What we collect

When you request a report: the email address you enter, the Immoweb link you paste and your language choice, together with the page of this site your visit started on and, if any, the website or campaign link that brought you here. We use them to build your report, email it to you, investigate delivery problems and understand how people find the site.

When you ask for a comparison of several homes: the email address you enter, the list of Immoweb listings you are comparing and your language choice, with the same information about where your visit started. We use them to prepare the comparison and to email you the link to it.

Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data (such as the IP address and the time of a request) for a short period, for security and debugging.

Anonymous usage statistics: we count page views, clicks and how far a page is scrolled on this site, along with the type of device and browser, without cookies and without any identifier that follows you across visits.

Why we process it (legal basis)

Sending the report you asked for is the performance of a contract (article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Security, abuse prevention and anonymous statistics rest on our legitimate interest in running a working, safe service (article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who processes it for us

Three service providers process data on our instructions: Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and PostHog (anonymous usage statistics). They may process data in the United States under GDPR safeguards (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and uses no cross-site tracking. That is also why you see no cookie banner.

The list of homes you compare is kept in the local storage of your own browser, so that you find it again on your next visit. It is not a cookie and it follows you nowhere else. Removing the homes from the list, or clearing the data of this site in your browser, erases it.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address and the listing you asked about for as long as needed to deliver your report and follow up on delivery problems. Email us and we will delete your records.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, or object to how it is processed: write to matthieu@brouillard.dev. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
